November storms and bariatric beds in bags

When it is November, a young man’s thoughts* turn lightly to . . . medical blogs. We watch House religiously, so oftimes I go scouting for general medical info. House says “It’s never lupus,” but everyone runs wildly about looking for lupus anyway, generally towing about various pieces of medical equipment–

–to which I say–What the heck is that?

So after the show I wander online and look around for places that carry medical supplies to see if I can find out what they are. Bedpans, endoscopes, nitrile gloves, and my favorite, the bariatric bed-in-a-bag. Say that five times over and see if it doesn’t leave you smiling.

House never leaves smiling. Maybe he should hang out at jrsmedical.

Rat in the morning

Brisk November morning in the new world. Coat weather again, by my standards, very soon. Crossing Brush Creek, I encountered a rat running back and forth at the end of the footbridge. “Good morning, Rat,” I said. A fat little rat, soft gray fur, it darted under the bushes there. “Good bye, Rat,” I added, biking on, into the morning.
